Legros Cultural
Arts, Inc. (LCA), founder Chantal Legros formed Legros Creative Arts Academy (LCAA), in Miami, Florida, under
the umbrella of the Haitian Organization of Women in 1989. LCAA, then a dance studio dedicated to promoting multi-culturalism
through dance, for ages five to adulthood; established their independence 1993. LCAA went on to launch Danzare Internationale
a touring dance company. Before long, LCAA and Danzare Int’l extended its
community outreach to include contractual relationships with Metro Dade County schools, the Community Crusade Against Drugs and Mal-Jonal Productions, providing
dance performances for over 30,000 students. In 1998, LCAA relocated to Queens,
New York to revise their outreach approach. Today, the studio has been transformed
into a cultural arts program that creates and develops cultural arts programs, activities and projects that educates our youth
and communities of the various cultures that exisit within New York City.
