Junior Board Member Advisor

Description
Overview:
The Junior Board Member Advisor serves as advisor,
mentor, and guide to the Legros Cultural Arts, Inc Junior Board. Junior Board
Member Advisor reports directly to Executive Director.
Duties:
- Provide
supervision and leadership during meetings, special events, projects and or field trips;
- Ensures
that the LCA Junior Board goals and objectives are met;
- Trains
and instructs Junior Board members in board governance & parliamentary ruling;
- Serves
as the liaison between Junior Board and Executive Board;
- Provides
Executive Director with quarterly reports of development and achievements of Junior Board;
- Assists
Junior Board Treasure with the maintaining of financial records;
- Assist
Junior Board Chairperson with recruitment on an as needed basis;
- Assist
Junior Board Chairperson with the coordination of meetings;
- Meet
with Junior Board bi-weekly each quarter.
Requirements:
- Must
have a minimum of two years experience working with youth;
- Must
possess a general understanding of parliamentary ruling;
- The
ability to train and or provide youth with instruction;
- Must
possess strong leadership skills;
- Must
be willing to attend a two day training prior to start of position;
- Must
be willing to commit to project for at least six months;
Compensation:
- A
stipend of $25.00 per meeting.
- Additional
compensation will apply for events, projects, special activities, and or field trips.
Schedule:
- Two
Saturdays per month every quarter (we take breaks in between quarters)
- Quarters
Feb-April, June-Aug, Oct-Dec (6 meetings per quarter)
- Meetings
are 2 hours in duration.
