Guillermo Alvarez (aka) Memo
studied Visual and Performing Arts in his home town of Miami, Florida. He recently traveled to Italy to participate in the
La MaMa Umbria Director's Symposium. He has also studied various acting techniques at HB Studio and Atlantic Theater
Company School. Memo is a current member of the
Nettles Artists Collective where he has brought his varied experience to create works such as E.I. E.I. Oh!!! and I Heart
U.S. a political satire that played at the Woolly Mammoth in D.C. Memo returned to LCA in 2007 to develop Comment Project Theatre Company.
Comment Project Theater Company works through
improvisational physical and vocal exploration to create new works. These works aim to inspire people towards the greater
good. By openly and honestly addressing topics such as race, sex, poverty and hatred the company fosters in the audience an
internal dialogue about their true attitudes and actions.
