Legros Cultural Arts, Inc hosted a SWAN Day (Support Women Artist Now) event on March 28, 2009 2pm-5pm at Shetler
Studios 244 West 54th Street ( btwn 8th & Broadway) 12th Floor. SWAN Day is a new international holiday that celebrates
women artists. It is an annual event taking place the last Saturday of Women's History Month in March. The first
SWAN day took place on Saturday March 29, 2008 and was celebrated with over 160 event in 11 countries. In honor
of this special day, LCA will hosted a "Women in the Arts" event on March 28, 2009. The event will highlighted
the works of new emerging female artists as well as veterans. Women artists also networked and shared their experiences
in the arts field. All proceeds from the event benefited LCA's upcoming film and theatre projects.
